Via Ferrata : les Gorges de Sarenne à l'Alpe d'Huez

Via ferrata is a mixture of hiking and climbing, with the addition of ladders and footbridges all contributing to a fabulous day out! Come and enjoy the views!

A fun, family activity in a setting that is normally inaccessible. Dare to come and play on ladders, rungs, footbridges and monkey bridges. You will be climbing up rock faces, roped up in complete safety, with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. It's a great day out!

Meet up with your guide at the car park 2 km after the altiport on the road up to the Col de Sarenne. A short downhill walk (1/2 hour) takes you to the start of the via ferrata, which is in an untamed part of the magnificent Sarenne gorges. If you're lucky enough, you'll see some marmots before you get to the top of the plateau. This is a great choice for a first via ferrata climbing experience!!
