Description
It's the absolute dream of every amateur cyclist: to take part in the legendary "Étape du Tour" on the same route as the Tour de France's 20th Bourg d'Oisans - Alpe d'Huez stage.
With 170 km and 5400 m of ascent on the program, 16,000 amateur cyclists will experience the Tour de France in a unique way on the 20th stage of the Tour de France 2026 from Le Bourg-d'Oisans to l'Alpe d'Huez.
Some of the Tour de France's most legendary passes await participants: the Col de la Croix de Fer, the Col du Télégraphe and the Col du Galibier. Above all, the finish at Alpe d'Huez, via the unprecedented Col de Sarenne, will make this a very special stage, where the professionals will certainly be vying for the yellow jersey a few days later.
With its 5400m of vertical drop, L'Étape du Tour de France 2026 is without doubt the most difficult stage of recent years. It's a demanding challenge that requires intensive training in order to cross the finish line on time.
