Description

This road is rich in history. In the Middle Ages, it was the route used to extract silver and then coal.

Head towards Altiport. Follow the Col de Sarenne road for approx. 300 m, then take a track on the left.

  • High boots are preferable to sneakers on mountain paths.

  • Bring rain gear (weather changes quickly in the mountains), sunglasses, a hat or cap, sunscreen, a bottle of water (or bottle) and a snack.

  • Don't go too high in the mountains with a baby under the age of 1 (risk of ear infections).

  • Stay well hydrated (especially children)

  • Choose age-appropriate walks (duration, altitude difference)

  • Take regular breaks
You should also remember to :

  • Check weather conditions

  • Check lift schedules

  • Protected plants, wildlife and minerals are all part of the landscape. Please respect them.

  • Take all your garbage with you. Recycling bins are available in the resort.

  • We recommend that you keep your dogs on a leash.

  • During your hikes, you may come across cow pens. Please remember to close them after you have passed.

  • You may come across herds of grazing sheep. Protection dogs are there to protect them. They are not trained to be aggressive, but they are trained to be deterrents.
